If your looking to adopt a pet..... |
No animals are for adoption on this page, and there are no pictures of any animals, but if you go to www.spca.org, you will find many animals there for adoption for the location that you are in. Sometimes I will leave a suggested animal to look at on the site, like ones that have been there for a while and are going to get put to sleep soon, if no one adopts them. VIP animals are animals that have been at the shelter for a while and may end up being put down. so if you see a name of an animal on this page that has a (VIP) next to it that I suggest for adoption, know that it is a animal that is in danger of being put to sleep
How to get to the animals that I have suggested to you on spca.org: 1. go to www.spca.org first of all! 2. go to adopt, which is located at the top of the screen in an orange box 3. move your mouse onto it and choices will come up. click adopt a cat, dog, either one. 4. the page that comes up should have a long, colorful thick bar at the top. green if you went to dogs. purple if you went to cats. click on that bar to display the available dogs or cats up for adoption 5. The next page should have little choice boxes on it. click on the down arrow to choose search by species, size and location. 6. choose dog or cat on species, all for size, and Mckinney for location. if you want to look in another city, you are welcome to choose any of the other options that are listed under location. The only animals listed on this page are ones from Mckinney. if you feel that you want to look in a different city, you will get a whole new choice of different pets that are up for adoption.
I feel very strongly about adopting a shelter dog or cat. I got my dog, Sydnie, from the SPCA in Collin County and he is a sweetheart! adopting from a breeder, you may get show quality dogs or cats, but adopting from a shelter, especially a kill shelter, saves lives, and gives you and your animal, although not perfect, a lifelong companionship of unconditional love!
